 I am always with you, holding you close, a flame that cannot be extinguished.
Even if you need to relight your flame, there is no shame in doing so. When life feels heavy and the burdens feel large, become a child again in My eyes. Home is inside you, it's always been. Laugh. Play. Return to innocence, free from sin. Run through open spaces, but keep the fort in sight. If safety starts to wane, return to My light. Laugh loudly. Live freely. Love boldly in My name. Safety you've always had, it's not yours to claim.

I draw you into the light that I AM,
And pull you close, if need be. Whatever you carry, you carry with me. If a burden grows heavy, reassess your grip, I will always be there to catch you should you trip. I will be your pillar, helping you stand tall, And I will lay you down, to give you rest from it all. I am here, holding your hand to the end and beyond, Restoring your hope when you fear it is gone. Take my hand, walk with me, remember my truth: All you need, you’ve always had—God who loves you.  There is nothing I can't accept.
There is no wall I can't break through. You water and grow all that resides in you. We marvel at your creations, how can we be one? That you loved us enough to create us, That we may bask in your sun. I remain committed, no matter how things unfold.
I know who I am, and what I like. Being true to myself provides a respite. Sometimes the voice of fear creeps up, wanting to convince me I am not enough. But it is not from me things must come, but rather through me, the Lord's work can be done. This truth is like the sun pouring from above. It's the strength to show up, to surrender to the love. What I need will be there, without fail. God has my back, the truest part of my tale.  The hours tick by, the days roll on. Life is not a hike; it is a meandering trail. Some sights you will like, others you will detest. Just stay on the trail and do your best.
Being human in this time can be a tricky thing. Constant pressures, illusions, and advancement, they call, they pull. Look to your heart. Tend to your home. Love is strength; it is vulnerable but not fragile. Never turn your back on the sun. Even when the darkest clouds prevail, it is there. Know it will shine forth for you, and that it already is. Give thanks for the things that make you smile. Hold them close in your heart. The mind wants more, the heart needs less. It never forgets how it is blessed.  There is joy in watching life unfold. Do your best not to measure it, but let the moment play out.
Each string in a song is perfectly placed. Some notes are low, others are high. But the song in its entirety is what comes from the sky. This notion of getting things right falls to the side. Left or right, do you go up or down? The rightness of being is already found. Shake the branches, watch the leaves fall. Which aspect of the tree are you needing to be? The trunk, the soil, you are part of it all. Should a branch snap and break, embrace the fall. Hold the sun on your face, the breeze on your skin. Let it remind you from where you begin.
 The only one who can close a heart is oneself. A new heart is always ready, beating louder and louder for you.
Comparison is not divine, for they are you, and thou art thine. You have to want something enough to get out of your own way. A day is not worthy because much was achieved, but rather, in that day, did you continue to believe? The practice of sitting in silence may be the hardest of all. It is time to gather, to replenish, to prepare. Thirst no more but drink up from this everlasting cup. There is but one true voice; listen wisely when given the choice. Feel the breath I send to you, the light bright in your heart. Step by step, I guide your way; follow me, don't be led astray. When the time is upon you, you'll step out in trust, for courage can fail you in your hour of need. But that won't matter; you will always have me.  There is more beauty in a slow evolution than there can be in a fast-paced one. For allowing things to unfold naturally (often deemed slowly) one is most present. Trust the richness of time.
Moments etched on the heart are the ones that find you when you aren't looking for them. Words are words, and can be overused and twisted, but the heartbeat at the center should not be discarded. To unfold is to allow, and to allow is to receive. Abundance is not your pockets overflowing, it is the cup of the heart, and most surely, the soul, that runneth over. Worries must fly away like the birds that they are, but a love that is steady meets you where you are.  After enough disappointment, it becomes easy to expect hurt. You become more cautious with your heart. You prepare yourself for abandonment, misunderstanding, rejection, or being let down again. Sometimes life teaches us that not everyone will love us with the same sincerity we offer them. Over time, painful experiences can quietly wear a person down. You may still be loving, kind, and compassionate, while carrying deep exhaustion underneath it all. And when trust has been broken repeatedly, it can feel safer to expect disappointment than to believe things could genuinely get better.
But this is often where God begins to meet us most deeply. Not when everything feels perfect, but in the middle of the confusion, heartbreak, loneliness, and uncertainty. One of the greatest things God offers us is peace — not because life suddenly becomes easy, but because His presence steadies us through it. It can be difficult to let go of relationships you hoped would improve. Sometimes we stay too long trying to earn understanding, honesty, care, or emotional safety from people who are simply unable or unwilling to give it. And that hurts deeply. Especially when you are someone who naturally sees the good in others and continues to give people chances long after you are emotionally drained. But God sees what we sometimes cannot see clearly when we are emotionally attached. He sees when a relationship is depleting your spirit instead of nourishing it. He sees when you are overextending yourself trying to maintain connections that are no longer healthy, mutual, or honest. He sees when you are being unfairly criticized, constantly misunderstood, or carrying emotional burdens that were never meant to belong to you alone. And sometimes, God protects us through endings. What feels painful in the moment may later reveal itself as protection. A closed door. A necessary separation. A redirection away from something that was slowly stealing your peace. God does not want you trapped in cycles of emotional exhaustion, confusion, or one-sided relationships where your love and effort are continuously taken for granted. He does not want you shrinking yourself just to maintain connection with people who refuse to meet you with honesty, accountability, or care. Instead, He gently guides you toward peace. He will save you from continuing to pour your time, energy, and heart into relationships that are not reciprocal and have no real desire to grow or make an effort. He will help you recognize when you are carrying relationships alone. He will also strengthen you emotionally so that not every judgment, rejection, or misunderstanding wounds you so deeply. Because the truth is, not everyone will understand you. Some people are too consumed by selfishness, ego, materialism, emotional immaturity, or unresolved pain to truly see others clearly. Some criticize what they do not understand. Some project their own wounds outward. And some people simply do not have the emotional depth to love others in healthy ways. That realization can be painful, especially for sensitive people who genuinely want to see the best in others. But God reminds us that someone else’s inability to recognize our heart does not determine our value. Because He sees it fully. He sees your intentions, your kindness, your loyalty, your effort, and your quiet endurance. He sees the love you gave that others overlooked. He sees the moments you stayed soft in a world that often rewards hardness. And because He sees you, you do not need to spend your life trying to prove your worth to people committed to misunderstanding you. God can also restore your faith in people again. Not by making everyone trustworthy, but by bringing healthier, more genuine people into your life over time. People who communicate honestly. People who make an effort. People who feel emotionally safe. People who remind you that healthy love, friendship, and support still exist. And through healing, something begins to shift inside you. You become wiser without becoming closed off. More discerning without becoming cold. More grounded in your worth. More aware of what truly brings peace into your life and what quietly destroys it. Humans are imperfect. People will disappoint you sometimes. Some will never apologize. Some will fail to change. Some will misunderstand you no matter how clearly you explain yourself. But God remains steady. He sees the full picture while we only see pieces of it. So if you are in a season of heartbreak, disappointment, or transition, remember this: God is not against you. Sometimes the very things that feel painful are the things protecting your future peace, your family, your emotional well-being, and the life you are meant to grow into. If you let Him, He will guide you away from what harms you and toward what heals you — toward peace, clarity, healthier love, restoration, and a life that feels lighter because it is rooted in His unconditional love.
